Ted Herbosa

Dr. Ted Herbosa established the Trauma Fellowship Program and the Emergency Medicine Residency Program in the University of the Philippines.

He has likewise helped build the Life Support Training International which is Philippines oldest and largest producer of Emergency Medical Technicians. He also became Regional Coordinator of the Hospital Preparedness for Emergencies (HOPE) for Asia with Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He is currently a member of the Safe Surgery Saves Lives Global Task Force that developed the WHO safe surgery checklist.

Alex is an England and Wales qualified lawyer specialised in the legal, commercial and regulatory aspects of telecommunications, IT, technology and e-commerce matters.

His key area of practice is advising on technology procurement and regulated outsourcings for financial institutions, investment funds and insurance companies. In addition, he advises a wide range of technology and telecoms companies on all commercial and regulatory aspects of their businesses. He has been actively involved in the “start-up” community in Asia, particularly in relation to FinTech businesses. He also advises extensively on data protection and privacy across the region.

Prior to this, co-founded medical device company in real-time brain imaging, and worked at a "friendly" activist PE fund in China.
