Sr. Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for defining innovative software requirements for future releases of Stash products, and supporting the realization of these products through the product development lifecycle. The position involves close interaction with product management, development leads, product architects, and key customers. The Senior Business Analyst is expected to possess a deep, hands-on understanding of how customers use the product. Job duties include gathering requirements from customers and the field, writing requirements documents, supporting the realization of these products through the product development lifecycle, and maintaining close involvement during implementation with early customers to ensure successful adoption.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be accountable for the competitiveness of new product-related features, and to ensure that they met customer needs;
  • Possess a deep understanding of how our customers use our products;
  • Define and detail the business requirements for each new product release in accordance with the Stash development process;
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, ensuring delivery of complete, market-ready solutions;
  • Work closely with project teams and directly with customers to ensure the product capabilities meet the needs of early adopters;
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the development organization with prioritization of ongoing change request, feature requests, and defects;
  • Participate in usability assessments, working closely with the User Interface Designer
  • Support product testing and review, as required, to ensure delivered product meets customer needs;
  • Ensure traceability from original requirements to final delivered product;
  • Communication of product release plans & current and planned capabilities to all areas within the organization, and to external stakeholders;
  • Be an evangelist for the product, demonstrating capabilities of the product in a positive light in both internal and external settings;
  • Lead and champion relevant Product Advisory Council sessions with key clients to review planned feature designs and to gain feeback on product capabilities;
  • Can work independently and within a team to facilitate JAD sessions;

REQUIRED SKILL

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in a enterprise software environment; Excellent understanding of web-based technologies, architecture and technology trends; Experience working in an Agile development process;
  • Experience developing and documenting product terms and definitions, stakeholder needs, product features, and corresponding functional specifications;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally and as a presenter;
  • Creative approach to problem solving and issue resolution;
  • Prior experience with workforce management or HRMS solutions is highly desirable; Post-Secondary Degree in a business or technical discipline;
